Ted Allen Memorial Tournament
The Ted Allen Memorial Horseshoe Tournament is an annual tournament started in 1990 in honor of Ted Allen; the founding member of the Boulder Horseshoe Club. He lived in Boulder most of his life and held the title of World Champion ten times. In 1955 at the World Tournament in Murray, Utah, Ted set a record of 36 consecutive double ringers (72 ringers in a row).
